Privacy Policy

Effective July 8, 2026 · Applies to Hellopill for Android · An Apps By Quillheart product

The short version: Hellopill works offline. Your medication data stays on your device. We do not collect it, transmit it, sell it, or see it. No accounts, no ads, no analytics on your health data.

Your data stays on your device

Everything you enter in Hellopill — medication names, dosages, quantities, schedules, notes, photos, appointments, and dose history — is stored locally on your device only. The app has no server, no cloud sync, and no account system. We have no access to your data and no ability to view, recover, or delete it.

What we do not collect

Permissions and why the app asks for them

Purchases

The optional one-time unlock is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We receive a standard, non-identifying purchase confirmation from Google and never see your payment details. Google's handling of payment information is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

Crash and diagnostic data

Google Play may provide us with aggregate, anonymized crash reports and app vitals generated by the Android platform (such as stack traces and device model). These contain no medication data and are used only to fix defects. The app itself embeds no third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.

Backups and exports are yours

Backup files and text exports you create are ordinary files under your control. Treat them as sensitive: anyone with access to the file can read your medication list. We never receive these files.

Children

Hellopill is intended for use by adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children (the app does not collect information from anyone).

Data retention and deletion

Your data persists on your device until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes all locally stored app data. Backup files you created separately remain wherever you saved them.

Security

Data is stored in the app's private storage area, protected by Android's application sandbox. Device-level security such as a screen lock and device encryption further protects your data; keeping those enabled is recommended.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices ever change, this policy will be updated and the effective date revised before the change takes effect. Material changes will be highlighted in the app's release notes.
